ESIMSAD Project supervisory Meeting held on 04-05/01/2023
ESIMSAD project Supervisory committee successful held a two days project progress evaluation meeting on 04-05 January 2023 at Addis Ababa University. During the meeting, a virtual session was also held with students who are currently in the mobility under ESIMSAD project. Fitsum and Mercy from WITS (S.Africa), Abdudin and Seyoum from UNN (Nigeria), Palesa, Peninah and Edwin from AAU and AASTU have joined the meeting virtually and introduced themselves to the SC committee and explained about their training and research activities.
On the second day of the meeting, a special seminar on Electrochemical Materials and Energy engineering was organized by Materials Science Program and Prof. Kenneth Ozoemana (WITS), Prof. Paul M.Ejikeme (UNN), Dr. Barry Hayes (UCC) and Dr. Getachew Adam (AASTU) gave a talk during the seminar.
The ESIMSAD project partner Universities Launches the Intra-Africa Academic Scholarship
ESIMSAD announces the launch of its second round Intra-Africa Academic Mobility scholarship for 2023 academic year entry.
ESIMSAD partner Universities are looking for students with a passion for pursuing MSc and PhD degrees on multidisciplinary research fields Materials Science, Solar Energy Physics, Chemistry Specialization in Inorganic Chemistry, Materials Electrochemistry and Energy Technologies and Physical Chemistry under ESIMSAD project (https://esimsad.org/).
The Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme, a joint initiative of the African Union and the European Union, is being implemented under the auspices of the Pan-African Partnership.
The programme is directly financed by the European Commission through the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency, under the supervision of the Directorate General for International Cooperation and Development and in collaboration with the African Union Commission Department for Human Resources, Science and Technology.
The Intra-Africa Academic Mobility is aimed at mobility of students and staff between Higher Education Institutions (HEIs to help them acquire stronger knowledge and skills and contribute to improve the quality and relevance of teaching and learning through exchanges of practices. Within the African Union vision, this is also essential for developing higher education capacity to generate African solutions to African challenges and to build an African higher education and research space.
The Starting date for Application: 15 December 2022
The application deadline is extended until 8 November 2023
